Worship Leader (Part-Time)
Position Type: Part-Time (8–10 hours/week)
Start Date: January 1st, 2026 (paid training period can begin in December)
Location: New Hope Arnold (3921 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010)
Position Summary
The Worship Leader works with a team of volunteers to prepare and lead the 10:15am Contemporary Worship service. He/She collaborates with the Pastor to ensure music selections fit each Sunday’s message with consideration given to the abilities of the volunteers available.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Worship: Serve as the worship leader at the 10:15 service, providing engaging and authentic worship experiences.
- Plan and Prepare: Collaborate with the Pastor to select and prepare music that aligns with each Sunday’s message.
- Rehearse and Equip Teams: Lead rehearsals and prepare the band/musicians for worship services, ensuring excellence and readiness.
- Creative Contributions: Actively participate in monthly worship team meetings to evaluate congregational engagement, provide feedback on areas for improvement, give input on future worship series, and support innovation and creativity in worship.
Qualifications
Required:
- A deep and growing faith in Jesus and alignment with New Hope’s mission and vision, including a commitment to provide a safe and welcoming place for all to worship.
- Strong vocal and instrumental skills with the ability to lead worship authentically and effectively.
- Experience leading worship and managing worship teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Availability to rehearse once a week with the band and lead worship every Sunday.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with worship technology and administration.
- Experience in songwriting, music arranging, or programming with click tracks.
