Social Media Content Creator

Mahj House Austin • Part-Time • In-Studio (with some remote flexibility)

Mahj House Austin is the city’s first dedicated mahjong studio — a warm, stylish, community-driven space where people come to learn, play, and connect. We’re looking for a creative, self-motivated Social Media Content Creator to help bring our brand to life across Instagram, TikTok, and our digital platforms.

If you love storytelling, aesthetic visuals, and capturing fun, community-centered moments… this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Create, plan, and schedule compelling social media content for Instagram and TikTok

Capture high-quality photos and videos during classes, events, and studio sessions (guidelines provided)

Write captions, stories, and hashtags that speak to our audience — women, parents, friend groups, and Austin locals

Assist with light eCommerce updates (products, descriptions, visuals) on Squarespace

Collaborate on content ideas that showcase our automatic tables, classes, merch, holiday events, and the overall Mahj House vibe

Monitor trends and suggest creative opportunities to grow the brand

What We're Looking For

Background or interest in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related fields

Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Canva, and comfort learning Squarespace

A good eye for photography, video, and aesthetic visual storytelling

Proactive, reliable, and excited to take initiative with content ideas

Someone who enjoys small businesses, community spaces, and creating feel-good content

Hours & Perks
