Data Science Intern – GTM Data & Systems Strategy

In the role of Data Science Intern, you will support ongoing initiatives in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Automation.  It’s an excellent job for people who want hands-on experience in building and deploying data-driven solutions, including exposure to Agentic AI systems and Generative AI technologies that enhance business efficiency and innovation.

Placement Details:

This is a 3 month placement starting in January 2026, located in Houston, TX.

What you will do:

  • Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for AI/ML projects.
  • Support development, testing, and evaluation of machine learning models.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate actionable insights.
  • Document workflows and maintain code repositories using Git.
  • Collaborate with team members on automation and AI-driven solutions.
  • Research and stay updated on latest AI/ML trends, tools, and best practices.

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Strong programming skills in Python (experience with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
  • Understanding of data science and machine learning concepts (classification, regression, clustering, Natural Language Processing).
  • Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions: 

  • Office based role, located in Houston, TX
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
