About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse at Cornerstone, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to a diverse patient population. Your primary focus will be to provide comprehensive nursing care, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout their treatment journey. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address both acute and chronic health conditions. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient education and advocacy, empowering patients and their families with the knowledge and support needed for optimal health outcomes. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to improving patient recovery rates and enhancing the overall quality of care within our healthcare facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical/surgical or telemetry units.
- Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, patient safety standards, and infection control practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Experience in pediatric nursing and wound care management.
- Certification in telemetry nursing or related specialty certifications.
- Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare informatics.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform wound care management and telemetry monitoring to detect and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care plans.
- Advocate for patient needs and coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Support medical and surgical nursing procedures, assisting physicians and nurse practitioners as needed.
- Deliver specialized care in pediatric nursing when applicable, adapting approaches to meet developmental needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
