We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team and support our mission of precision and progress.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the month-end close process. This position requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude to support a fast-paced, project-based business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Assist with annual department budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and compliance documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Beneficial Experience & Skills

• Prior accounting experience (co-op or internship experience is acceptable) 
• Prior business / accounting experience in an engineering, architecture, or construction firm.
• Experience in accounting software (Deltek Vantagepoint, or similar ERP systems).
• Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) or government contract accounting.
