Middle School Math Teacher

Job Title: Math Teacher (Middle School; Gifted)

Location: Rockdale County Public Schools, Conyers, GA (22 miles east of Atlanta)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $51,212 - $99,000

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic middle school Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for teaching students at various levels. Teacher must be gifted endorsed or willing to become gifted endorsed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons to students in [grade levels].
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets educational standards and goals.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and exams.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their mathematical skills.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
  • Teaching certification or willingness to enroll in a program leading to certification.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the middle/high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software for instruction.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Familiarity with diverse teaching methods and strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
