COMMUNICATIONS & SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

THE RUNDOWN 

Playfly Sports is looking for a Communications and Social Media Intern to join our team at our largest office in New York City. Within our 10-week paid Playfly Summer Internship Program, you’ll be immersed into the business side of sports and join our team of talented professionals. Through hands-on experience, projects, and mentoring, you’ll learn the fundamental skills and knowledge it takes to have a career in sports while developing yourself professionally and personally. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH  

  • Support public relations, corporate marketing, and social media efforts 
  • Build Playfly brand and narrative for external constituents 
  • Build and maintain media list 
  • Develop social content and calendar 
  • Research and write year-end PR recap 
  • Press release and pitch writing 
  • Research podcast speakers and prepare questions and topics for Playfly-powered podcasts 
  • Attend all internship events and participate in projects and assignments 
  • All other duties as assigned 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • A commitment to contributing to a respectful, diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment where everyone feels like they belong 
  • Preferred areas of interest: Public Relations, Social Media, Marketing, Advertising, Sales, Strategy, Sports, Innovation 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Self-starter and team player with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred  
  • Fluency with Instagram, X, LinkedIn social media platforms  

 

INTERNSHIP DETAILS & APPLICATION GUIDELINES 

  • Preferably entering Senior year of Bachelor’s program , with a graduation date of December 2026 or later 
  • Availability to work June 8, 2026 – Aug 13, 2026, 32 hours/wk, Monday – Thursday 
  • Interns will be paid an hourly rate of $17 
  • Candidates are restricted to applying to TWO positions only
