Behavior Therapist

Position Summary

The Behavior Therapist provides direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients with developmental, behavioral, or learning needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the therapist implements individualized treatment plans to improve communication, social, adaptive, and behavioral skills.   

Key Responsibilities

--Implement ABA treatment programs as written by the BCBA or clinical supervisor.

--Collect accurate, real-time data on targeted skills and behaviors during each session.

--Use reinforcement strategies, prompting, shaping, and task analysis to teach new skills.

--Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with consistency and fidelity.

--Support clients with communication, social skills, self-help routines, and play skills.

--Manage challenging behaviors using evidence-based, ethical ABA strategies.

--Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA.

--Participate in team meetings, parent training sessions, and supervision as required.

--Provide session notes and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

--Communicate progress, concerns, and observations to the supervising BCBA.
