home staging installer/mover

A Home Staging Installer/mover is responsible for the physical setup and takedown of staged homes, ensuring they are visually appealing to potential buyers. This role involves loading/unloading furnishings from warehouse installing/removing them into/out of homes according to a staging design plan. The installer(s) work with together with direction of a lead stager, and need strong physical stamina and attention to detail. In addition to staging installations, this person will be responsible to perform general residential moving services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading: Safely loading and unloading staging inventory from storage or a warehouse onto moving vehicles and then into the home.
  • Installation: Placing furniture in home according to the staging design plan.
  • Organization: Ensuring all staging items are organized and easily accessible for future projects.
  • Physical Labor: Lifting and moving furniture and staging materials, which can be physically demanding.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with a team of stagers to ensure efficient and effective staging.
  • Maintenance: Performing minor repairs on furniture, such as tightening screws or touching up paint, and ensuring all items are in good condition.
  • Following Instructions: Adhering to the lead stager's design plan and instructions.
  • Inventory Management: Updating inventory systems to track items and ensure accurate records.
  • Transporting: The driver is responsible to transport furnishings safely to and from all jobs in the truck and trailer provided by employer.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in arranging items and ensuring a polished look.
  • Organization Skills: Ability to keep track of inventory and manage multiple items.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others and follow directions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions from the lead stager.
  • Reliable Transportation: Having a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to staging locations.
  • Basic Handyman Skills: Being able to put together furniture and perform minor repairs.
