JC-499034 - Return to Work Analyst

The Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) is responsible for the equitable coordination, administration, and integration of the statewide emergency medical services system to reduce suffering and save lives throughout California. The EMSA embraces the delivery of equitable services to diverse communities, cultivating a culture of innovation and resiliency, and the development of a diverse, competent, and compassionate emergency medical service personnel and the EMSA workforce.

• Located in Rancho Cordova, EMSA's headquarters offer free parking and proximity to stores, restaurants, and Highway 50

• Workdays are Monday thru Friday, (excluding holidays,) with base schedule of 8 to 5, with some flex opportunities

During emergency operations, you may be required to work in EMSA’s Departmental Operations Center, other governmental Emergency Operations Centers or in EMSA’s field Mission Support Team to provide assistance in emergency response and recovery activities.  Staff is required to complete emergency management and Incident Command System (ICS) training based on their respective roles in a response and participates in periodic departmental and statewide readiness drills and exercises.

Under these emergency operations, staff need to work effectively and cooperatively under stressful conditions with short lead times; work weekends, holidays, extended and rotating shifts (day/night); and may be required to travel statewide for extended periods of time and on short notice.

SSA

Under supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSMI) Supervisor, Staff Services Analyst (SSA) in the Human Resources (HR) Branch of the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), works as an analyst to provide personnel analysis and program direction. This position will promote and be accountable for support, customer satisfaction, and quality services while providing recommendations that promote innovative solutions in the field of policy, procedures, and other HR related services to meet the customer needs for EMSA. The SSA will operate in accordance with California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), State Personnel Board (SPB), The State Controller’s Office (SCO), and EMSA policies and procedures.

AGPA

Under the direction of Staff Services Manager I (SSMI) Supervisor, Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) in the Human Resources (HR) Branch of the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), works as an independent analyst to provide personnel analysis and program direction. This position will promote and be accountable for support, customer satisfaction, and quality services while providing recommendations that promote innovative solutions in the field of policy, procedures, and other HR related services to meet the customer needs for EMSA. The AGPA will operate in accordance with California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), State Personnel Board (SPB), The State Controller’s Office (SCO), and EMSA policies and procedures.

  • Ability to interpret and apply State and Federal laws, rules, policies, procedures and Collective Bargaining contracts.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
