Position Summary
We are seeking a Data & Digital Insights Intern to help integrate, clean, and analyze data collected across MFA’s digital channels. The intern will support efforts to streamline incoming data, maintain organized records, and produce reports that strengthen our marketing and fundraising decisions into usable dashboards and reports that guide our marketing and fundraising campaigns. This role involves hands-on data management, performance tracking, and audience insights across social media, web traffic, CRM systems, and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing, cleaning, and updating CRM data.
- Support ongoing integration of contacts from external sources (fundraising platforms, events, ads) into our CRM system.
- Ensure data accuracy by deduping records, updating engagement tags, refreshing lists, and tracking donation touchpoints.
- Work with the team to track traffic sources across digital platforms.
- Help build reporting systems that capture:
- Traffic source & conversion activity
- Visitor demographics (location, device, interests) & on-site behavior
- Contribute to implementing new tracking capabilities on the MFA website.
- Maintain biweekly performance logs for organic social insights, social ads, Google Ads, and external campaign activity.
- Maintain and update the influencer outreach sheet, including contact status, posted deliverables, and estimated reach.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library for photos, videos, and campaign files, and assist with sharing materials with internal teams and external partners when needed.
- Create and update simple dashboards (GoogleSheets, Excel, or Notion) summarizing key metrics and insights.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel.
- Familiarity with Meta Ads, Google Analytics, UTMs, or CRMs is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working with numbers and data.
- Interest in data analytics and/or nonprofit marketing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written communication and teamwork skills

Compensation
This is an unpaid internship (eligible for course credit or volunteer hours, if applicable).
