Echocardiogram Technician (Per Diem)
Job Summary
The Echocardiogram Technician is responsible for performing echocardiograms for clinic patients and provide high quality images suitable for diagnostic, disease monitoring and management. This individual prepares preliminary interpretation of the studies and contacts Cardiology Provider with any significant abnormal results.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular or echocardiography program.
- Cardiovascular Credentialing international (CCI) or Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) certification within 60 days of hire.
- Credentialing from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), preferred.
- 2 years of extensive experience performing echocardiograms within complex patient populations, preferred.
- Leadership experience, preferred.
- BLS within 60 days of hire.
Professional Duties
- Perform quality echocardiograms for patients as ordered by Provider.
- Respond to Provider feedback regarding performed echocardiograms.
- Be a resource for internal staff as it pertains to proper echocardiogram performance.
- Provide feedback and input for expansion of Cardiology diagnostic services.
- Prepare preliminary interpretation of completed echocardiogram studies and submit interpretation to the Cardiologist for review and interpretation.
- Notify appropriate Provider of significant abnormal results in a timely manner and in accordance with established departmental timeframes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Computer Highly technical work environment. Must be able to work minimum of 6+ hours a day using computers, telephone/mobile devices and other office tech equipment.
Reaching Above head 75 degrees approximately 25% of day.
Hand grip dexterity Approximately 40% of day.
