Cyber Security Help Desk Analyst

Employment Type: Full-Time 
Location: ONSITE – Miami, Fl

About the Role 

We are seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Help Desk Analyst to join our growing security team. This role serves as the first line of defense for security-related incidents and requests, providing technical support while maintaining our organization's security posture. The ideal candidate will combine strong cybersecurity fundamentals with excellent customer service skills and WordPress technical expertise. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Security Operations 

Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents, and service requests through ticketing systems 

Perform initial triage and analysis of security events and potential threats 

Assist in incident response activities, including containment, investigation, and documentation 

Support vulnerability management processes and coordinate remediation efforts 

Maintain and update security documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles 

Technical Support 

Provide tier 1/2 support for security tools including firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and endpoint protection 

Assist users with security-related issues such as account lockouts, MFA setup, and access requests 

Support secure configuration and maintenance of WordPress websites and applications 

Troubleshoot WordPress security plugins, SSL certificates, and authentication issues 

Conduct security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns 

WordPress Security Management 

Monitor WordPress sites for security vulnerabilities and apply patches/updates 

Configure and maintain WordPress security plugins and hardening measures 

Investigate and remediate WordPress-related security incidents 

Implement secure backup and disaster recovery procedures for WordPress environments 

Review and audit WordPress user permissions and access controls 

 

Required Qualifications 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience) 

Experience: 2+ years in IT help desk, security operations, or related technical support role 

Technical Skills:  

Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and attack vectors 

Hands-on experience with WordPress administration and security best practices 

Familiarity with security tools (antivirus, firewalls, SIEM, EDR) 

Understanding of network protocols, authentication systems, and encryption 

Experience with ticketing systems and ITSM platforms 

Soft Skills:  

Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences 

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

Customer service orientation with patience and professionalism 

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, or GIAC 

Experience with security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001) 

Knowledge of scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) 

Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) 

Experience with WordPress security plugins (Wordfence, Sucuri, iThemes Security) 

Understanding of web application security and OWASP Top 10 

 

Work Environment 

Hybrid Schedule: Flexible work arrangement with regular on-site presence in Miami, Fl office 

Hours: Standard business hours with occasional on-call rotation for security incidents 

Minimal travel between office locations may be required
