Freelance Studio Assistant

Job Duties: Freelance Studio assistants may support the following functions within our studio, based on our business needs and freelance availability. 

Merchandise Prepping duties may include: 

• Prep/Steam new inventory for photography in our studios
• Inspect and repackage inventory after imaging
• Tape shoes for photo shoots
• Physically and systematically move product through workflows – including use of a pallet jack
• Request and maintain supplies and various other administrative and inventory related tasks
• Meet daily productivity goals

Assistant duties may include:

• Track and manage photo shoots using our proprietary software and ensure items are scanned in with their corresponding items 
• Maintain, organize, and follow priorities to strategically to maximize shooting efficiency 
• Communicate photoshoot progress the team regularly to meet productivity goals
• Provide styling support by researching brands, items and information
• Dress and communicate with the model to maintain shoot pace
• Maintain organization of the dressing rooms, styling closet, studio space and bays
• Request and maintain supplies and various other administrative and inventory related tasks

Hours & Scheduling:

Our operating hours are 8a-4:30p M-F. We prefer people are available at least 20 hours a week to freelance at Shopbop. We also prefer full days of availability.

• Prep Hours: 
  • We can be flexible, so exact hours worked are determined by your availability, but 8:00a-4:30p Mon – Fri are the standard prep hours.
• Stylist Assistant Hours: 
  • scheduled M-F 8a-4p and require full day availability
