Graphic & Multimedia Assistant- Undergraduate Admissions

Job description

Work closely with the Undergraduate Admissions Graphics Specialist and Assistant Director of Communications to assist with the departmental publication, event materials, recruitment materials, maintaining PowerPoint & Google Slides presentations, social media sites, video capturing and editing and publication inventory. The assistant is part of the Admissions Programming team and also assists with additional projects related to campus tours, events, and all recruitment related activities.

The student assistant will gain real-world graphic design and videography work experience (including the creation of a working portfolio for use upon graduation), learn how to work for a client, comply with brand requirements, follow projects from design to print and develop communications and office skills. The student assistant will also be responsible for event photography and updating our photo stock library to share with University Communications and Marketing.

The student assistant will be responsible for partial conceptualization, capture, creation, and posting of social media content under the direction of the Graphics Specialist, the Assistant Director of Communications and other Undergraduate Admissions Leadership. 

The student will assist with production of hard copy pieces, web site design and graphic advertising in order to support transfer, out-of-state, and general undergraduate recruitment. Our goal is to reach out to potential new students on a peer-to-peer level and give an aspiring graphic designer the flexibility to learn and grow in a fun and professional environment.

 

Requirements

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design), strong written and oral communication skills, and proficient analytical and computer skills are required for application to this assistant position. 

Basic photography and videography skills desired. As well as skill with social media management and basic media literacy. 

Must be a current Undergraduate Student with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Mac desktop and Adobe Suite provided for workspace.
