Job purpose 

The eDrive Mechanical Intern will work with the North American product release team, focused on the design and release of EV propulsion systems.  

 

Key responsibilities 

Supporting eDrive (electric motor + gearbox) engineers with daily tasks 

Supporting component teardowns and part evaluations 

Submitting and tracking lab work requests 

Submitting and tracking CAD work requests 

Gather test samples and providing to the required lab areas 

Working with build room technicians to support prototype builds 

Writing and submitting engineering test reports 

Supporting competitor product bench marking activities 

Updating and debugging engineering template/tools 

 

What we’re looking for 

Fluent in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel  

Excellent technical writing skills 

Excellent communication skills 

Mechanically inclined, familiar with vehicle driveline architecture 

Ability to apply academic learnings on job 

2D/3D CAD experience 

Experience interpreting 2D Drawings
