Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher (K–8)
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in grades Kindergarten through 8th. This educator designs and implements individualized education plans (IEPs), adapts curriculum and materials for accessibility, and promotes language development and communication skills through various modalities, including spoken language, sign language, and assistive technology. The teacher collaborates with general education staff, interpreters, parents, and related service providers to ensure students’ academic and social success in inclusive and specialized settings.
Required qualifications, skills and experience
Bachelor's Degree and certification in Exceptional Student Education
