Are you a sophomore, junior, or senior with a passion for accounting and a drive to make a difference? MACKEY is a boutique firm in Bellevue, Kentucky offering outsourced CFO, managed accounting, and tax planning & preparation services, and we’re seeking bright, ambitious minds to join our dynamic internship program.

Position Overview:

  • Compensation: $15/hour for 20 hours per week
  • Duration: December  2024 - April 2025 (with potential for extension)
  • Location: Hybrid (Bellevue, KY office and occasional remote work)

Internship Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Individual, Corporate, and Partnership tax returns
  • Develop and implement data visualizations
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research
  • Identify and recommend tax-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with our Shared CFO® team
  • Assist with various accounting and financial tasks as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Accounting major (sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student)
  • Completed university-level tax classes
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous volunteer tax preparation experience
  • Interest in pursuing a second internship with MACKEY
  • Focus or coursework in Data Analytics/Visualizations
