Software Engineer Internship

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Software Engineering interns to join our team at Acron Aviation – Aviation Products. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a talented group of engineers to drive the development and enhancement of our software projects and product lines. Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle, from interpreting and implementing software requirements to coding and creating detailed design documentation. 

Your key responsibilities will also include developing software requirements, test cases, verification procedures, software branch coverage analysis, and code debugging. You will be instrumental in pre- and post-integration testing, as well as investigating, analyzing, and resolving internal and external problem reports. In addition to your technical contributions, you will play a pivotal role in generating essential documents and maintaining our in-house software tools. Your commitment to excellence will extend to actively participating in process improvement initiatives, ensuring that our software engineering practices remain cutting-edge and efficient. Key Responsibilities 

  • Work under the guidance and instruction of a Senior Software Engineer.
  • Development of software requirements test cases, verification procedures, software branch coverage analysis, and code debugging. 
  • Instrumental in pre- and post-integration testing, as well as investigating, analyzing, and resolving internal and external problem reports. 
  • A pivotal role in generating essential documents and maintaining our in-house software tools.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, ensuring that our software engineering practices remain cutting-edge and efficient. 
  • Opportunity to also work with Flight Data Recorder products.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in at least the 3rd year of the Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Curriculum.

Preferred Skillset

  • Experience with one or more of the following:  C++, C#, C, SQL, Qt, Python, Configuration management & change management tools usage (VxWorks, Linux, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE, and others for Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom processor designs)
