Job Title: E-Commerce Development Intern – Ice Cream Gifting Store Launch

About the Project

Sub Zero Ice Cream is launching a new nationwide online gifting platform—an e-commerce store dedicated to shipping custom ice cream creations as gifts. The platform will leverage strategically located franchisees as fulfillment centers, ensuring freshness and speed of delivery across the U.S.

You’ll help design and test the system, starting with a pilot program in Provo, Utah serving the western United States.

What You’ll Do

Develop a business plan for the national ice cream gifting store, including revenue models and cost structure.

Research and propose logistics solutions for nationwide fulfillment using existing franchise locations.

Calculate and model shipping and packaging costs, including dry ice, insulated containers, and courier options.

Build an initial prototype online store (Shopify, WooCommerce, or comparable platform) capable of processing real orders.

Collaborate with franchise owners, operations staff, and marketing to design a smooth, scalable system.

Conduct pilot testing of the shipping process from the Provo store to regional customers.

Document standard operating procedures for packaging, handling, and fulfillment.

Who You Are

Business, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain, or E-Commerce major preferred.

Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.

Experience with online store platforms or shipping logistics is a plus.

Comfortable working independently on an early-stage project with room for creativity and experimentation.
