POSITION:               Fourth Grade Teacher

LOCATION:             Pine Avenue Elementary School

REPORTS TO:         Dr. Kathy Konowalow, Building Principal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

                        Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education

                        Elementary Certification K-8 

                        Meet requirements for background check and fingerprinting

Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills: 
A successful candidate will possess:

• Successful experience working with elementary age students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of content expectations pertinent to the grade level
• Experience working as part of a collaborative team
• Knowledge of the MTSS model to support students academically and behaviorally

A successful candidate will be able to:

• Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings
• Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas
• Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
• Contribute to a professional learning team
• Use effective classroom management strategies

COMPENSATION:   Alma Public Schools Salary Schedule A
