Medical Science Liaison

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Hormone & Testosterone Therapy Focus

Position Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Hormone & Testosterone Therapy serves as a scientific and clinical expert within Marius Pharmaceuticals, focused on advancing the understanding and appropriate use of testosterone therapies, including Kyzatrex® (testosterone undecanoate). This individual will build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), support medical education initiatives, and translate complex clinical data into actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.

This role bridges clinical expertise and scientific communication, supporting Marius’ mission to redefine hormone health through evidence-based engagement and collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Engagement & Education

  • Identify, develop, and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs, clinical experts, and healthcare providers across endocrinology, urology, and men’s health.
  • Deliver balanced, evidence-based scientific presentations on testosterone therapy, emerging research, and disease-state education.
  • Support and lead medical education events, symposia, and advisory boards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for unsolicited medical inquiries regarding Marius products and hormone-related research.

 

Medical Communications & Insights

  • Translate complex clinical and pharmacologic data into clear, accessible scientific communications for internal and external use.
  • Provide medical review and approval for educational materials, publications, and promotional content to ensure accuracy and scientific integrity.
  • Gather and communicate field insights on clinical trends, competitor activity, and unmet needs to inform medical and commercial strategies.
  • Contribute to development of white papers, abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure alignment on scientific messaging.
  • Support internal training of field and commercial teams on testosterone therapy science, mechanism of action, and evolving clinical data.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure compliant and science-driven representation of data in promotional materials.

 

Research Support & Evidence Generation

  • Assist in identifying and developing investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and real-world evidence studies.
  • Participate in post-marketing surveillance, data analysis, and dissemination of clinical outcomes.
  • Engage with academic institutions and research networks to advance the scientific understanding of testosterone deficiency and replacement therapies.

 

Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure all medical communications comply with applicable regulations, company policies, and ethical standards (FDA, OIG, PhRMA).
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation of interactions and activities.
  • Exhibit professionalism, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all engagements.

 

Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced scientific degree.
  • Strong academic or clinical foundation in endocrinology, men’s health, or hormone therapy.
  • Active pharmacist licensure preferred but not required.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–5 years in medical affairs, MSL, or related scientific role within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Prior clinical experience in endocrinology, men’s health, or testosterone therapy highly desirable.
  • Proven success communicating complex scientific information to healthcare professionals and KOLs.
