School Nurse

Job Summary:
To promote health and safety in the school environment and provide health services to students, faculty, and staff.  To assist the administration and school physician in carrying out school health services.  To assist with the teaching of sound health practices. To be responsible for compliance by the school with local, county, and state health requirements.  To maintain appropriate level of communication while adhering to confidentiality guidelines at all times and to uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations and Board policies. 

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN); School Nurse certification required; demonstrated expertise in nursing practice and emergency procedures; knowledge of current health issues, wellness education, and child growth and development.  Experience in a pediatric hospital or pediatric physician office preferred.
