Saint Paul’s Classical School, a ministry of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, guides students to Christian virtue and wisdom through love of God and neighbor by studying the Western Tradition. Using the classical liberal arts, the Trivium and Quadrivium, we form thoughtful, free individuals whose hearts, minds, and souls are shaped to live faithfully in God’s world.
Position Overview
Saint Paul’s Classical School is seeking a Visual Fine Arts Instructor to develop and implement a K-12 fine arts curriculum focused on classical principles. This is primarily a part-time position, but candidates who can also teach additional subjects- such as history, English, or Elementary-Level Latin- may be considered for a full-time role. The instructor will nurture creativity, cultivate artistic skill, and integrate the arts into a classical Christian education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sequential K-12 visual fine arts curriculum aligned with classical Christian principles.
- Teach drawing, painting, sculpture, design and other visual arts to students across multiple grades.
- Foster creativity, artistic skill, and a love for the arts in students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate the arts across subjects and school activities.
- Participate in school life, including chapel, assemblies, and community events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Studio Art, Painting, Drawing, or Sculpture, Art History or a related field preferred.
- Prior teaching or curriculum development experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to teach other subjects (History, English, elementary Latin) a plus for full-time consideration
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Alignment with the mission and philosophy of Saint Paul’s Classical School.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate for part-time teaching; full-time salary starting at $60,000 if teaching additional subjects.
