TalkShop is a mission-driven platform that enables high school students to connect with current college student mentors for personalized, affordable guidance on the college admissions process and insider information about campus life and school culture. As a TalkShop Mentor, you'll get paid to share your experience through virtual meetings and content creation to help other students while building valuable experience—all on your schedule!
What You'll Do
As a TalkShop Mentor, you can get paid to support high school students by:
- Sharing your college admissions journey and helping students navigate the process
- Answering questions about your school, major, extracurriculars, scholarships, campus culture, and more
- Providing support on college essays, applications, and decision-making
- Hosting 1-on-1 sessions (virtually) based on your own availability and rates
- Acting as a relatable guide and role model for students and their families
- Producing short videos about your experience

Who We're Looking For
You’d make a great TalkShop Mentor if you:
- Are a current undergraduate or graduate student (from any institution)
- Are enthusiastic about sharing your college experience and knowledge
- Are dependable, communicative, and professional
- Enjoy helping others—especially students navigating big academic decisions
- Have strong communication skills and a passion for education or mentorship
Experience as a tutor, resident assistant, student ambassador, or peer mentor is a plus — but not required.
