Podcast Production Intern

Job description:

The Podcast Production Intern will assist in the filming, recording, and post-production of our upcoming podcast. You’ll work closely with our podcast editor and videographer to ensure smooth operation of the show — from setup and filming to editing and social media clips.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about digital media, podcasting, and storytelling who wants hands-on experience in a creative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with camera setup, lighting, and switching during live or recorded podcast sessions
  • Operate the video switcher (ATEM Mini or similar) to manage multiple camera angles
  • Capture behind-the-scenes footage and b-roll for social clips
  • Support the podcast editor with syncing audio/video and basic post-production tasks
  • Help create and edit short-form content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) from podcast episodes
  • Upload final episodes to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and social media platforms
  • Ensure consistent branding across podcast visuals and clips
  • Help maintain production schedules and file organization for all podcast assets

Qualifications

  • Basic experience with videography and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci preferred)
  • Familiarity with camera operation, lighting, and switcher boards
  • Understanding of podcast workflow — recording, editing, and publishing
  • Strong attention to detail, creative eye for visual storytelling
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Bonus: Experience with audio mixing or podcast editing
  • Must live in Los Angeles County/be an LA county Resident (No Exceptions)

Internship Details

  • Schedule: 10–15 hours per week, flexible to accommodate classes or other commitments.
  • Location: Hybrid—remote work plus some on-site presence in Gardena, CA.
  • Compensation: Paid internship; stipend provided.
  • Opportunity to earn academic credit if approved by your institution.
