2026 Summer Internship, Global Marketing & Communications

JOB FUNCTION

The social content intern will play a crucial role as a member of the Global Marketing & Communications team to help further advance The Riverside Company, its fund families, and portfolio companies through internal and external facing initiatives. Learning about private equity and its role in the financial industry, the intern will grow professionally through mentorship and guidance from experienced communications professionals.   As part of our summer internship program, interns are encouraged to listen in on weekly investment committee meetings and attend our weekly speaker series to gain a comprehensive view of Riverside’s functions and collaborative culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With an emphasis on social content, responsibilities will be tailored to the individual’s skills and goals and will include but be limited to:

Social Content Creation

  • Create compelling organic content for social media platforms, particularly company pages on LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Design engaging copy and visuals for social media posts.
  • Develop and create visually appealing graphic and video content for use in marketing materials, social media, and the company website.
  • Resarch best practices for social engagement and benchmark page and post performance to industry peers.
  • Monitor social media metrics and provide insights to improve engagement on the firm and individual levels.
  • Create layout and design projects using industry standard software including Adobe Express and Adobe Creative Suite.

Marketing Communications

  • Assist in the development and execution of global marketing campaigns.
  • Support the creation and deployment of marketing collateral, including graphics, newsletters, email and website.
  • Help track and report on the performance of advertising campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to inform marketing strategies.

Event & Conference Management

  • Help plan and coordinate select company events, webinars, and conferences.
  • Assist with event logistics, including venue setup, registration, and attendee communication.
  • Support post-event activities, such as surveys and follow-up communications.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Current undergraduate students pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, graphic design, marketing or a related field
  • Strongest consideration will be given to candidates with experience creating content for LinkedIn/Instagram, knowledge of Adobe Express, Canva and similar tools, and/or basic knowledge of video production and editing
  • Individuals with experience in content creation, social media management and design are encouraged to provide samples and/or a digital portfolio of work
  • Experience with Generative AI tools, particularly relating to content and visuals
  • High level of creativity and digital savvy, strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
  • Sense of humor, intellectual curiosity, and excellent work ethic
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking ability, and dependability
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

 

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

Dates: Start and end dates are negotiable between June 2026 and August 2026. We expect a 10-week commitment from students

Pay Rate: $20/hr

Location: CLE
