Histology Lab Intern

Applied Pathology Systems (APS) is a local biotech company primarily focusing on providing histology and pathology services to support the research of pharmaceutical and biotech companies. APS is also extending its services to clinical histopathology. We are currently in the process of hiring an intern to work in the laboratory. The intern can work as a full-time employee and receive extensive training in school breaks while has the flexibility to remain part-time during school semesters. The details for the intern position and its requirement are listed below.

Roles of the internship position

Under the supervision of a supervisor, the intern will

• work with a group of talented scientists, histologists, and pathologists to execute research projects requested by our clients or determined by an APS development program.
• learn and perform a variety of histopathology experiments following existing SOPs, or instructions from the supervisor.
• learn a variety of assay development using most recent technologies in the field.
• attend routine laboratory meetings, prepare and present the research data.
• communicate with our clients.
• be able to work as full-time or part-time based on your school schedule.

Qualifications

• Majored in biology or in other related life sciences.
• Strong drive to develop one’s career in the biomedical field.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills and knowledge for professional development.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal English.
• Ideally can drive to the location of the laboratory for an easy transportation.
