Your Future Team

As a  Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Vikara, you'll be at the forefront of applied AI, working directly with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent, scalable, and high-impact AI-powered solutions.

The Forward Deployed Engineering team collaborates with top organizations across industries, helping them leverage Vikara’s AI capabilities to solve complex, real-world challenges. You’ll partner closely with cross functional teams to bring next-generation AI capabilities into enterprise systems — driving measurable business outcomes.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and are passionate about shaping the future of AI-powered operations and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

·        Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML-powered solutions tailored to customer needs, leveraging frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and agent-based platforms (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).

·        Architect and implement scalable integrations using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages, focusing on APIs, microservices, and enterprise-grade systems.

·        Analyze and interpret complex datasets to drive data-informed solution design.

·        Champion AI-augmented workflows to enhance operational efficiency and business value.

·        Oversee full-lifecycle deployment of AI solutions — from prototype to production and continuous improvement.

·        Ensure adherence to AI governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).

·        Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

·        Align technical initiatives with customer and company business objectives.

Your Background

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

·        2+ years of experience in backend software development.

·        2+ years of experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production or as internships, including applied AI or forward-deployed engineering roles.

·        Expertise in AI/ML and LLM technologies, including experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.

·        Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or comparable languages, with strong API and microservice integration skills.

·        Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver impact in fast-paced, iterative environments.

·        Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and functions.

·        Familiarity with data privacy and compliance (e.g., GDPR).

·        Strategic and creative problem-solving mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes.

Bonus points if you have:

·        Experience deploying AI solutions at scale in production environments.

·        Prior experience contributing to open-source AI frameworks.

·        Experience with AI agents or automation frameworks in production.
