Graphic Novel/Comic Artist
Graphic Novel/Comic Artist Intern
About the position:
Want an opportunity to get your artwork published in a Graphic Novel?
We are looking for artists who can fulfill the duties of a penciler, inker, colorist, and letterer.
Join AMP’s Internship starting this spring! During the program, you will be working with writer Caroline Alley on her Sci-Fi Graphic Novel City of Sanctum.
Caroline Alley recently graduated from the Screenwriting Program at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts as summa cum laude. She now works for AMP Comics as a Creative Executive and runs their internship program and script writing contest, Script2Comic. Since childhood, she has been obsessed with the creation of stories. She is enamored with their ability to share diverse worlds and perspectives. Following this dream, she has written six scripts varying from features to television to comics, with her latest project being her graphic novel, City of Sanctum. She looks forward to expanding this world into more books and potentially a television series.
City of Sanctum takes place in a future, irradiated world, divided between the privileged dome elite and the outside mutated dwellers, where one powerful girl with extraordinary abilities will lead the resistance and unite her people to freedom.
For the internship, you will have an opportunity to get your artwork published and receive school credit from AMP Comics. Monetary compensation will be discussed prior to the beginning of the internship. You will have meetings regularly with the writer and with AMP’s Editor-In-Chief to ensure the project is executed cohesively. The position is fully virtual.
This internship may extend past the spring. Please do not apply if your school owns the rights to projects you complete while attending that university. The script, currently being completed, will be roughly 120 pages.
About AMP Comics:
AMP Comics stands for bold, high-concept ideas, strong characters, and well-crafted stories that draw you in and make you feel something. We focus on quality over quantity and prioritize fewer releases to give more attention to every title we launch. We believe creators should be actively involved and well-informed, ensuring royalties are accurately reported and promptly paid.
AMP stories don’t end with comics — our characters, concepts, and ideas will live on and expand into other mediums: board games, video games, XR/VR, film, television, and beyond.
