Park Ranger Supervisor

Cosumnes Community Services District is seeking a qualified individual to fill one (1) full-time Park Ranger Supervisor position. The Park Ranger Supervisor serves as an ambassador for the District, promoting safety and positive community relations within our parks and open spaces. This position is responsible for supervising Park Rangers, educating the public on park programs, activities, and regulations, and ensuring the protection of District facilities and natural resources.

POSITION
The Park Ranger Supervisor participates in the patrol and monitoring of District parks and facilities to ensure orderly, clean, and safe environments for park users; oversees Park Ranger staff in enforcing District rules, regulations, codes, and ordinances; and provides assistance and education to park visitors and participants on the use of parks and facilities. The Park Ranger Supervisor is a non-sworn peace officer authorized to issue citations when required.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and public relations skills, with a commitment to safety, education, and community engagement.

Work Schedule:
Available to work a non-traditional work schedule; Wednesday-Sunday, which may include evening hours. 

Salary Information:
The Park Ranger Supervisor's salary range is between $38.78 - $54.57 per hour. The District typically appoints new employees at the first step of the salary range. Consideration for an appointment higher than step 1 will be based on experience, education, or the need for unique skills or knowledge and shall be no more than the mid-point of the salary range.
