End Date: End of academic year (June 12th)

About the Role

The UC Irvine Graduate Division is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy undergraduate student to join our communications team as a Website Manager. In this role, you’ll help improve and maintain the Graduate Division website (grad.uci.edu), ensuring that it’s accurate, user-friendly, and accessible for students, faculty, and campus partners. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on web management experience and play a key role in enhancing UCI’s digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a basic audit of the Graduate Division website to identify broken links, outdated information, and design inconsistencies.
  • Assist in remapping and reorganizing website pages for easier navigation and improved user experience.
  • Work with staff to update content, images, and program information.
  • Ensure pages meet accessibility and usability standards.
  • Collaborate with the communications and IT teams to implement approved design or content updates.
  • Track and report website performance using basic analytics tools.
  • Provide recommendations for improving site layout, structure, or functionality.

Qualifications

  • Must be a current UC Irvine undergraduate student in good academic standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of website platforms or content management systems (experience with WordPress, Drupal, or similar tools is a plus).
  • Interest in web design, user experience (UX), and digital communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or web analytics tools is a plus but not required.
