Position: Junior Analyst - Investments
We are a successful and growing public market asset manager with a stellar long term track record. The firm is small, family-owned and boutique. We are located in Charlotte, NC, and think our independence from the crowd is a large contributing factor to our success.
We are looking for the right candidate to help on both the investing side and the business building side. The nature of the job is analytical and the candidate must enjoy spending time reading financial filings, industry reports, etc. But we are a small team and everyone rolls up their sleeves to get things done. Because we work closely together, fit and temperament are most important. And we expect that the right candidate will have multiple skills, attributes and experiences to contribute to the team’s success.
This is an opportunity to learn, develop and practice investing along-side an experienced portfolio manager. We will mentor and train the right candidate. We are hopeful that a successful hire will have more investment responsibility as they mature and stay for the remainder of their career.
Requirements:
- Passion for investing
- An intermediate-level or greater understanding of financial statements, accounting and investing concepts
- Two to four years of professional experience. This does not have to be in a markets focused role – we are willing to train and mentor the right candidate
- The right temperament
- Coding experience and experience or interest in working with generative AI models is a plus
