About Junior Softball Coach Position 

Overview: 

Join our softball program this summer and gain hands-on coaching experience while inspiring campers to develop their skills, teamwork, and love for the game. Located just 2½ hours from NYC and Philadelphia, our camp offers a unique opportunity for college students to grow as leaders, mentors, and athletes.

Qualifications:

We’re seeking staff with softball playing or coaching experience, strong communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for mentoring athletes of all abilities. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about helping campers improve technically and personally while fostering a positive team environment.

Our Program:

Our softball program emphasizes fundamentals, skill development, and competitive play. Staff lead hitting, fielding, and pitching drills, run practices, and guide campers through games and tournament play. With access to top-notch softball and baseball fields and training equipment, staff refine coaching skills, leadership abilities, and player development strategies.

Dates

Start: June 15th, 2026 

End: August 12th, 2026

Salary

Trail’s End offers a competitive salary that is based on age and experience. Our staff will receive their salary in addition to a travel reimbursement. Room and Board are included. 

Responsibilities:

Staff teach softball fundamentals, organize and run practices, coach inter-camp teams, and prepare athletes for tournament games. Mentorship, motivation, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship are central to every practice and game. Staff leave the summer with real-world coaching experience, stronger leadership skills, and the satisfaction of helping campers reach their full potential.
