Role Overview
As a CFD Simulation Engineer, you will leverage multi-phase CFD simulations alongside transport phenomena, reaction engineering, and bioprocessing models to develop first-principles and mechanistic solutions. Your work will address complex challenges across process design, optimization, and technology transfer. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about applying advanced computational techniques to solve real-world problems and make a tangible impact on patient health and global manufacturing.
Training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped with the tools, methodologies, and best practices needed to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform multi-phase CFD simulations using STAR-CCM+ and related tools
- Develop and apply first-principles models for process and equipment design
- Handle large-scale data for post-processing and visualization
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and manage timelines effectively
- Support CAD-based parametric modeling and feature generation
- Contribute to coding and automation tasks for simulation workflows
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience with CFD software, especially STAR-CCM+
- Familiarity with distributed computing and HPC environments
- Strong skills in data handling, post-processing, and visualization
- Ability to generate parametric CAD models
- Programming proficiency in C++, Java, VB; moderate skills in MATLAB and Python
- Excellent project management and collaboration skills
