Semi-Private Personal Trainer

Are you an energetic, detail-focused coach who wants to work in an environment where personal training feels fun, professional, and meaningful?

At Made Possible Personal Training, we specialize in strength training for adults who want to move well, feel strong, and stay active for life. We're located in downtown St. Pete and known for creating a one-of-a-kind coaching experience that blends expertise, community, and results.

We train all types of clients, and we know our stuff when it comes to sports performance and advanced training. But our heart is in helping the 50+ community stay strong, mobile, and confident. If that lights you up, keep reading.

Our Two Core Services

All sessions are semi-private. They all have custom programs. That means you’ll be coaching multiple people at once while still treating each client like they’re the only one in the room.

Semi-2

1 coach, 2 clients

This format allows for close connection, real-time feedback, and highly personalized coaching

Semi-4

1 coach, 4 clients

This is where your coaching presence, attention to detail, and session flow skills come to life

Every client follows their own personalized program. Your job is to coach it with smart cues, adjustments, and support.

What Makes This Role Special

  • You don’t have to sell training. We take care of the sales
  • No programming needed. We handle that for you so you can focus on coaching
  • All coaches work with all clients, which keeps us united as a team and focused on delivering great client care
  • You’ll get a 6 to 10 week paid onboarding process to become a certified MPPT Strength Coach

  • Track client progress and communicate any concerns or wins
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training space
  • Basic cleaning duties after your shift
  • Participate in ongoing learning, feedback, and team development
  • Show up prepared, present, and committed to our values and standards

Who We're Looking For

  • You’ve coached in 1-1, small group and/or semi-private formats and know how to manage multiple clients without losing the personal touch
  • You’ve been strength training consistently for at least 4 years
  • You hold a nationally accredited personal training certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE, ISSA, etc.)
  • You have 2 years of coaching/personal training/group training experience
  • You’re open to feedback and willing to grow. You take coaching seriously and want to do things the right way
  • You bring positive energy and a high standard to your sessions
  • You’re confident, adaptable, and great with people
  • You’re comfortable with using technology (tablets, computers, phones) in your sessions

Nice to Have

  • Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science or a related field
  • Experience in a physical therapy clinic or as a PT tech
  • Experience coaching older adults or post-rehab clients

Pay & Perks

  • Paid training: $15 to $20 per hour during onboarding

  • Retirement plan options for long-term team members
  • Ongoing education, professional development, and free gym membership

To Apply

Send your resume and a short cover letter telling us why you want to be part of this team. We’re not just hiring a trainer.
