Internship Objective
We are looking for a highly self-motivated intern to support our development initiatives. The intern will focus on development projects, including, but not limited to: securing auction items for our Silver Cup Celebration event, securing sponsorships, and donor stewardship. Students pursuing degrees in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Philanthropy, Communications, or Public Affairs are ideal candidates. Still, internships in this department can be tailored to match various academic and career interests. Our organization will provide immeasurable hands-on leadership, communications, and administrative experience that will deeply broaden your knowledge and skills in a nonprofit environment. We seek an intern who is not afraid to take the initiative in leading a program/project, has strong communication skills (verbal and written), and will bring ideas to the table to enhance our efforts.

Internship Description
The New Hope of Indiana Development Intern will be expected to perform the following throughout the internship:
- Secure silent auction items and sponsorships for the Silver Cup Celebration event.
- Enter and maintain data in New Hope’s donor database, Network for Good.
- Prepare stewardship and correspondence including but not limited to mass email and mailing campaigns.
- Assist the management of donor stewardship projects.
- Assist the planning of fundraising and donor appreciation events.
- Represent New Hope in a professional manner that is consistent with our mission.
Internship Duration & Time Commitment
The internship will be part-time (10-15 hours per week) for the spring 2026 semester. The internship is located in Indianapolis, IN and will earn $14/hr.
Job Requirements & Skills
The ideal candidate has demonstrated that they are the following:
- Technical Competence
- Candidates should be comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and be capable to quickly learn other programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills, along with strict attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines proactively.
