Web Design Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, update, and maintain websites across various platforms to meet client goals.
  • Conceptualize, organize, and present web solutions collaboratively with teammates and clients.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize website performance issues.
  • Implement user-friendly and responsive web designs that align with project requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Stay updated on the latest web technologies and trends to improve team capabilities and client outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates to address questions or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate using tools such as Notion, Slack, Google Chat, Email, and project management software, ensuring prompt responses and efficient workflow.
  • Take initiative to expand web-related skillsets to better support team and client needs.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proficient in web design and development platforms (e.g., Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify).
  • Strong understanding of web programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Experienced in responsive design principles and website usability best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple web projects with attention to detail and timelines.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) for team collaboration and client engagement.
  • Proactive learner with a commitment to staying current on industry best practices and emerging web technologies.
  • Portfolio showcasing a strong body of web design and development work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Basic understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience with web hosting, domain management, and CMS customization.
