UI/UX Design Intern

This role is ideal for a creative thinker passionate about user-centered design and digital innovation. As part of our team, you will contribute to the visual layout, interaction design, and overall user experience of digital products, including websites, mobile apps, and software interfaces.

This internship offers hands-on experience collaborating with designers and developers to bring intuitive and visually engaging digital experiences to life.

Sample responsibilities based on the projects available, as well as the intern's skill and dedication:

• Assist in designing user interfaces for websites, apps, and digital platforms that align with brand identity and usability standards.
• Support the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts.
• Collaborate with the design and development teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to implementation.
• Contribute ideas to improve user experience (UX) and optimize digital interactions.
• Participate in user research and gather feedback to refine design solutions.
• Stay up to date with trends in digital design, interaction, and accessibility.

On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
