Social Media and Communication Intern
SPRING SEMESTER 2026 - INTERNSHIP POSITION FOR THE BOLDERBoulder
ABOUT US: Every year team BOLDERBoulder works closely with the Boulder community to put on 2 special and unique road races, the BOLDERBoulder and the ColderBOLDER, that see a combined total of more than 50,000 runners, walkers, and joggers.
The BOLDERBoulder, named America’s All-Time Best 10K by Runner’s World takes place on Memorial Day in beautiful Boulder, CO. Finishing at the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field, this race is one for the bucket list and continues to amaze participants, spectators, and VolRUNteers year after year.
INTERNSHIP DUTIES:
- Assist in the management of BOLDERBoulder social media accounts including monitoring news, trends, and ideas, replying to comments, drafting content, and ensuring brand consistency.
- Draft content for BOLDERBoulder blog and website. Monitor website for outdated content and make updates as needed.
- Work with internal Marketing Team and outside Design Firm to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
- Assist our Senior Manager, Communication in scheduling and hosting meetings, events, press conferences, and welcome events.
- Assist our Senior Manager, Communication with organizing and creating digital media content.
- Work with BOLDERBoulder media partners as directed by Race Director or Communication Specialist.
- Other social media/ marketing projects as determined.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
(NOTE: Must be available to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
- Working toward a degree in Communications or related field.
- Has excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
- Enjoys working in a small company where your efforts are greatly valued and appreciated.
- Creative mindset.

- Able to work independently and as a strong team member.
