Restaurant Manager – Pepper Tales
We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead day-to-day operations, elevate guest experience, and ensure smooth functioning of our Indo-Pak dining establishment in San Jose, CA. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong people management skills, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Operations & Service Excellence
Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Ensure top-quality food, service, cleanliness, and restaurant ambiance.
Handle guest escalations and resolve service issues promptly.
✅ Team Leadership & Staffing
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff.
Conduct performance reviews and coach team members to deliver service excellence.
Foster a positive, respectful, and high-energy work culture.
✅ Financial & Inventory Management
Monitor daily sales, operating costs, P&L, and reporting metrics.
Manage inventory, vendor orders, stock levels, and food cost control.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
✅ Compliance & Standards
Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Maintain proper documentation for audits, inspections, and certifications.
✅ Customer Engagement & Brand Growth
Support local marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement.
Maintain a strong presence on review platforms (Google, Yelp, etc.).
Required Skills & Experience
✔ Experience in restaurant or hospitality management preferred
✔ Strong leadership, communication, and people-handling skills
✔ Experience with POS systems, inventory software, and scheduling tools
✔ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
✔ Knowledge of Indo-Pak cuisine is a plus (not mandatory)
✔ Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and peak hours
