Communications and Digital Media Intern
Convergence, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging divides and solving complex public issues, is seeking a motivated Communications and Digital Media Intern with a strong work ethic, a passion for collaborative problem-solving, and an interest in nonprofits.

What You’ll Do
Note: Duties may vary based on team priorities and project assignments.
- Perform communications-related research
- Create digital content to help grow Convergence’s social media presence on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Edit video clips and produce short videos
- Help maintain editorial and social media calendars
- Copy edit and proofread written materials
- Collaborate on writing compelling content for blog posts, newsletters, etc.
- Assist with monitoring Convergence's online presence
- Participate in team meetings and monthly staff meetings
- Provide important insights into the communications strategies
- Provide general administrative support as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Internship Details
- Location: Remote
- Hours: ~15 hours/week, flexible schedule (Mon–Fri, 9–5)
- Timeframe: January–May 2026, with potential to extend into summer
- Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students; unpaid (students are encouraged to seek credit or stipends through their school)
Qualifications and Education
- Relevant fields of study preferred: Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Political Science, Public Policy, Linguistics, or related
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly
- Flexible, proactive, and able to manage overlapping tasks independently or as part of a remote team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Comfortable with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Asana, Microsoft 365)
