Large Animal Veterinary Technician
Associated Veterinary Clinic in Ripon, WI is a growing and privately owned mixed animal hospital, looking for a full-time experienced Wisconsin State Licensed Veterinary Technician to assist our large animal veterinarians. Our large animal clients range from dairy and beef producers to hobby farmers — and they all count on us for top-notch, compassionate care. You will be joining a team whose goal is to provide the best possible care for our patients in a positive and friendly work environment. We work hard, laugh often, and never underestimate the power of a good cup of coffee (or a good pair of boots).
As part of our large animal team, you’ll:
- Assist veterinarians with farm calls, herd checks, and emergency treatments
- Handle patient restraint for cattle, goats, sheep, and swine.
- Perform sample collection, diagnostic testing, and lab work (total plate count, ATP meter)
- Administer medications and vaccines
- Maintain accurate records with billing and ensure equipment/inventory is ready to roll
- Farm support
The ideal candidate must have experience and/or a strong interest in large animal medicine, flexible, and a strong work ethic.
Schedule: 4 day work week.
Experience:
- Veterinary: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Veterinary Technician Certification (Required)
- Valid Driver's License
