We are expanding and seeking a driven IT Account Manager to nurture client relationships, grow new business, and ensure exceptional delivery results.
Role Overview
As an IT Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts, developing new relationships, and ensuring successful talent placements. This role is a blend of relationship management, consultative sales, and partnership with internal recruiting teams to deliver best-in-class service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of existing client accounts.
- Build deep relationships with hiring managers, HR partners, and department leaders.
- Understand client hiring needs, organizational structures, project roadmaps, and technical environments.
- Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and growth planning sessions with clients.
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities with existing and prospective accounts in the NYC technology market.
- Run outreach campaigns, meetings, and capability briefings to introduce our services.
- Develop proposals, lead agreement negotiations, and manage commercial terms.
- Track and forecast account performance to meet revenue goals.
Recruiting Partnership & Delivery
- Collaborate closely with internal recruiters to define role requirements and hiring strategies.
- Provide timely feedback loops and ensure candidate experience excellence.
- Monitor pipeline progress and ensure strong delivery outcomes against client expectations.
- Maintain market awareness to advise clients on compensation trends, skill availability, and hiring competitiveness.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in staffing, recruiting, sales, or client management within the technology sector.
- Strong understanding of IT roles (engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, etc.) and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Proven experience in managing accounts, growing revenue, or developing new business.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Driven, proactive, and comfortable working with autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
