Management Trainee

Clarion is looking to find recent College Graduates who are interested in learning about all areas of manufacturing.  Below is what all Management Trainees can expect to cycle through and learn about.  The goal is to expose bright and eager individuals to all aspects of PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING manufacturing to see where they may want to specialize.  

Travel will be necessary.  

Clarion Operating System – Corp/GVL (1 week)
System – Intranet – work instructions 
QS/ISO – internal / external audits
Powerway
Production Phase 1 – (3 weeks)
Operator –1 week
Participate in onboarding for new operator, work with trainer, injection molding  terminology…etc.
Relief Operator / Supervisor – 1 week
Will be trained by Shift Supervisor / Team Leader. Will spend 3-4 days as a RO, beginning and end of shift paperwork and relief of operators. Shift TBD.  Monitor day to day activities with supervisor.
Misc – 1 week 
Quality / Containment
Maintenance / Tooling, - Work order ABAS
Human Resources 
Program Management/Launch – (6 weeks)
New Program/Award Kick-off 
APQP Process – timeline
Weekly or bi-weekly meeting
Interface with customer visits/meetings

Quality – (4 weeks) 
Auditor / Containment / Quality Process / Paperwork 
Trained in QC checks and containment paperwork.  Spend 1 week as auditor and 1 week in containment.
CR/NCMR and work instructions - introduction and participation – 1 weeks
 Work with Quality Manager on CR process – tracking
 NCMR process – tracking and completion
 Work Instruction – Creation/collection/updates
 8D – instruction and completion
PPAP Process for production and launch – 1 week
Production Phase 2 – (6 weeks) 
Lead shift for 6 weeks (shift rotation – 2 weeks each)
Plant Materials Group – (4 weeks)
Purchasing – 1 week
Customer Service / Scheduling – 2 weeks
Shipping / Receiving – 1 week
Human Resources – (1 week)

Legalities
Corporate Materials – (1 week)
Price change process
Customer Balance Out
Nafta / USMCA reporting
Quarterly SAP reporting
Quoting Process – (2 weeks) - Corporate
RFQ – originates from Sales – what is required to prepare a quote
Feasibility – review of opportunity
RFQ Tooling – sending to vendors – development from customer CAD data
Developing a quote for parts and ancillary – customer CAD and/or SOW (statement of work)
Sending quote to customer
Open sales opportunities tracker
Sales – (2 weeks) – will mix with Quote Process
Participate in Sales calls / interface with customer
Reviewing opportunity / developing RFQ / gathering necessary information


Finance – (2 weeks)

Paulson Training 
Training is to be completed throughout the duration of this program and should be the primary focus during any downtime.
