Coordinator, Paid Media

Position Summary:

One of the Twins’ greatest assets is the strength of the brand. The Coordinator of Paid Media will leverage that brand strength into compelling campaigns that will drive revenue/attendance and engagement. This individual is responsible for assisting in driving the club’s advertising and media mix strategy across all paid mediums (TV, radio, print, digital, social, etc.). The ideal candidate will be creative, curious, analytical, strategic and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on a variety of projects in conjunction with advertising and media planning efforts.
  • Assist in the execution of campaigns including but not limited to television, digital, radio, social, collateral, OOH and print.
  • Oversee development of creative rotations, creative requests, insertion orders and trafficking creative assets.
  • Manage project budgets, review invoices and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Own in-game broadcast rotation and home plate rotational.
  • Lead efforts on Spring Training media planning, Diversity media planning and Seasonal pocket schedules.
  • Assist Paid Marketing and Content Manager in executing content calendar, reporting and other assignments as needed.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and executions of marketing lead promotions/special events.
  • Work across disciplines to evaluate effectiveness of campaigns and make recommendations on how to enhance current and future strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local media; seek opportunities to promote partnerships.
  • Assist as needed with email communications, content on twins.com and MLB Ballpark App in partnership with the Manager of Owned Marketing.
  • Oversee preparation of annual recaps.
  • Support and manage internal department relationships.
  • Coordinate materials for meetings, presentations and other activities within the organization.
  • Assist with game day duties as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirement Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of marketing experience (including internship, coursework, or other relevant experience).

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.
  • Must have experience and skills in programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and special events.
  • Ability to work constructively in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Outstanding written communication, spelling and grammar skills.
  • Ample experience with digital media platforms.
  • Working knowledge of website and email measurement, analysis and reporting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of work day.
  • Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer, keyboard and telephone.
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to walk steps to visit fans during games.
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, dining room, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $40,000 to $50,000 annually. This role is also eligible for a performance-based bonus, which varies based on company and individual performance. Total cash compensation will depend on bonus payouts and will likely exceed base salary.
