Physical Therapist Assistant
Grace Pointe, a premier Senior Care Community located at 1919 68th Avenue in Greeley, CO, has an opening for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Grace Pointe is currently accepting applications for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant will treat residents and patients with temporary or long term physical disabilities to relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing by applying the therapeutic properties of exercise, heat, ultrasound, massage and other forms of treatment. The schedule for this position is full-time, which includes 5 days a week, 8am-4:30pm, and opportunities for covering for planned vacations and on-call for night before coverage, as well as frequent weekend work. The wage range for this position is $32.00-$35.00 per hour, and is based on years of experience as a PTA. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Under a physician's order, performs the following within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
- Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
- Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, canes, crutches and other devices.
- Maintains patient records.
- Devises special tools and treatment for the specific needs of patients.
- Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Certification required
- One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
