Admissions Officer
Position Overview
The Admissions Officer supports the New York Military Academy’s (NYMA) enrollment and
outreach goals through collaboration, initiative, and excellent communication. This individual will
work closely with the current admissions team to recruit and enroll qualified students, both
domestically and internationally.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in private or boarding
school admissions, strong skills in enrollment management and financial aid, and proficiency
with admissions software systems such as Blackbaud, Rediker, or similar CRMs.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the current Admissions Officer to manage all stages of the admissions
cycle—from inquiry to enrollment.
Conduct campus tours, interviews, and virtual meetings with prospective families and students.
Communicate effectively with applicants, families, and educational consultants, providing timely
and accurate information.
Contribute to the development and implementation of recruitment strategies for both domestic
and international students.
Assist in managing and tracking inquiries, applications, and enrollment data using Blackbaud,
Rediker, or similar systems.
Partner with the Business Office to help families navigate the financial aid process with
transparency and confidentiality.
Represent NYMA at school fairs, conferences, and community outreach events.
Support marketing and outreach efforts to promote NYMA’s academic, athletic, and leadership
programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in school admissions, preferably within a private or boarding
schoolenvironment.
Proven experience with enrollment management and financial aid administration.
Proficiency with admissions CRM systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Rediker, or similar).
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Culturally competent, with experience supporting diverse and international student populations.
Energetic, professional, and detail-oriented, with a genuine commitment to NYMA’s mission.
