Human Resources Intern Summer 2026

This intern position supports Human Resources functions, including Recruiting, Employee Engagement, and Learning and Development while receiving work experience in a dynamic environment within one of the top US regional Workers’ Compensation management groups. Summit Consulting LLC, headquartered in Lakeland, FL, is a super-regional Workers’ Compensation insurance management company operating in fifteen states throughout the Southeast and Southwest United States.

This intern role includes working with Summit’s Human Resources team to:

Support and assist with coordinating organization-wide programs

Assist with recruitment and data analyze focus areas

Support HR generalists in daily tasks

Communicate effectively with employees in support of department initiatives.

Handle special projects, as assigned

Desired qualities:

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Human Resources, etc. are preferred majors)

Prefer a junior or senior

Applicants must be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
