Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing machinery, equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as grounds and structures, to maximize equipment productivity and safety in a production facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and general maintenance on equipment as defined by the OEM manual or assigned by supervisor
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment by applying mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic expertise
- Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment within the department to quickly and efficiently repair any equipment breakdowns and/or issues
- Diagnose machine and equipment malfunctions, collaborating with supervisors, teammates, and operators to identify and fix issues
- Follow inspection and repair schedules
- Operate a cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
- Set up and operate machine tools such as grinders, drills, and saw machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools
- Work and communicate with team to assist in design and construction of new equipment
- Maintain flexibility regarding work scheduling needs
- Perform other duties as needed
Other Skills, Abilities, Licenses, or Certifications:
- Forklift license (in-house certification available)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years in related maintenance field
Attributes:
- Precision and drive to improve every day
- Good communication skills, with ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other drawings
Work Environment:
- Maintenance shop or production floor
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to severe when on the production floor; hearing protection required in the vicinity of the vibrating tables
